Room Rates & Taxes
A state sales tax of 7%, a county innkeeper’s tax of 5%, and a 1% processing fee will be added to all room rates listed. Standard room rates will be adjusted during special events and festivals.
Accepted Payment Methods
Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Debit Cards, Cash, and Check are all accepted methods for payment.
Please note – A room reservation is not complete until the deposit amount has cleared. Reservations made by check will be confirmed upon receipt.
A deposit is required to reserve your room. A 25% deposit will be collected by credit card at the time of booking. The balance of the room rental will be charged two days before check-in.
Cancelations require advance notice of at least 14 days. Deposits, less a $50 rebooking fee, will be refunded for cancellations received at least 14 days before the scheduled arrival date. Cancelations received less than 7 days prior to the arrival date will be subject to a late cancelation fee, the equivalent of the agreed-upon fee for the entire reservation.
Early departures will be considered a late cancelation and charged accordingly.
Guests are strongly encouraged to purchase cancelation protection from an agency of their choice to offset the expense of emergency cancelations due to illness, pre-existing conditions, accidents, injury, work-related demands, or traumatic loss/death/bereavement.
Children over the age of ten are welcome to stay in their parent’s room. An extra charge of $30 per night per guest will be added to the existing room rate.
The Master Magnolia Suite and the Wisteria Suite can accommodate up to a 4-person occupancy. The Sunflower suite is limited to 2 guests.
Smoking & Vaping Policy
Smoking or vaping is not allowed inside of the home or on porches. Guests may smoke in the side yard or garden.
Guests are asked to be sensitive to the needs and well-being of others and avoid situations where smoking or vaping would interfere with another guest’s enjoyment of the facilities.
We love pets. The Butterfly House is home to two miniature Schnauzers and a tiny Yorkie. For this reason, we ask all guests to find alternate arrangements for their fur babies while they are guests of the Butterfly House. If you need help finding suitable local accommodations for your pets, we will do our best to help you make those arrangements at a nearby facility.
A 2-night minimum stay is standard.
- Reservations are date specific.
- Rates are for one or two-person, per room, per night.
- Requests for single-night stays or last-minute reservations will be considered on an individual basis.
- Open-flame candles are not allowed in the home. Use of any time of open-flame device will result in an additional fee of up to $100.
- The use of illegal drugs will result in immediate eviction and loss of all fees paid.
Damage to Property
Damages to furnishings and property are the responsibility of the guest. Damages to furnishings and property by children staying in the home are the responsibility of the parent/guest. This includes financial responsibility for the cost of the repair or replacement of the damaged furnishings or property. Such incurred loss will be billed or charged to the payment method supplied by the guest.
Right to Refuse Service
The Butterfly House Bed and Breakfast is a privately owned and operated home and business. The Butterfly House is a family-friendly establishment and will not tolerate any form of aggressive, violent, disorderly, dangerous, or belligerent behavior by guests or visitors. The Butterfly House Bed and Breakfast reserves the right to require any guest or visitor behaving in an inappropriate (as defined above) manner towards other guests, visitors, management, or owners, to immediately leave the premises. Evicted guests will forfeit their right to further accommodations (present and future) at The Butterfly House Bed and Breakfast. Evicted guests are responsible for all applicable fees, taxes, and charges associated with their accounts.
Waiver of Liability
Neither the owners, The Butterfly House Bed and Breakfast, nor Chrysalis Connections, LLC will be held liable for accidents or injury to Guests or Visitors or loss of money, jewelry, or other valuables of any kind. Guests are strongly encouraged NOT to leave valuables, cash, or jewelry in their suites.
COVID-19/Coronavirus Waiver | Assumption of Risk, Indemnity, and Release Agreement and Acknowledgement
By booking a suite/room or visiting The Butterfly House Bed and Breakfast, guests and visitors acknowledge that an inherent risk of exposure to the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, exists in any public place where people are present and is considered by health official’s to be an extremely contagious disease.
If you choose to visit, sleep, eat or bathe at The Butterfly House Bed and Breakfast, you and your guests/family members agree to assume all risks associated with potential exposure to COVID-19 voluntarily. These risks include but are not limited to personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death.
By booking a room or visiting The Butterfly House Bed and Breakfast, you acknowledge your responsibility to be informed about your underlying health conditions and risk factors and take appropriate measures to protect yourself from exposure to COVID-19. You agree to abide by the policies implemented by The Butterfly House Bed and Breakfast and further understand The Butterfly House Bed and Breakfast cannot guarantee you will not be exposed or infected with COVID-19 during your visit.
