Highly recommended! We had a wonderful time during our weekend stay. Paul and Teresa were gracious and wonderful hosts. The food was delicious and the rooms were beautiful. The town of Madison was fun to explore! You won't regret choosing this for your get away!

Wonderful stay here. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Large, comfortable room. Delicious, filling breakfasts. A few minutes’ walk from the shopping and eating of downtown Madison. Owners kind and accommodating.

Lovely historic home. Perfect location to walk on main street as well as down to the river. Clean, comfortable rooms. The best hosts you could ask for, welcoming and helpful. Top notch hospitality. The breakfast is a nice bonus as well. 😄

We had a wonderful time staying at The Butterfly House B & B for our anniversary weekend. Paul and Teresa were fantastic hosts and have thought of many amenities to have on hand for their guests. (Homemade cookies, other snacks, and coffee available 24/7, as well as cold bottled water.) The room was lovely and quite comfortable. The home is in a quiet neighborhood, but very walk-able to both the river and downtown places and events.Breakfast was great each morning - and we stayed three nights, so got to enjoy a few! Teresa and Paul were so welcoming, but also offered plenty of information about other places to visit and restaurants to try, along with suggestions for additional things to do both in town and nearby. If you decide to give The Butterfly House a try, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

My husband John & I took a trip to Madison, Indiana and stayed at The Butterfly House for our early Anniversary celebration. Paul and Teresa Walters are such kind, wonderful people. They have truly put their heart and soul into this beautiful Bed and Breakfast. We highly recommend everyone to stay if you have the opportunity. Their hospitality, accommodations, breakfast and location are top notch. ❤️

It was a nicely decorated place in a good location. The owners were personable and accommodating. Air Condition hadn't been turned on, yet so room was warm, could use some night stands, tv and a bath mat. Owner did turn air on when we asked about it.

Highly recommend this wonderful B&B. Paul and Teresa took great care of us - excellent accommodations and home cooked breakfasts. Only a couple blocks from Main St Madison and the Riverwalk. First class service and attention to details. We will be back!

Beautiful house and room with all the amenities one needs. A quiet respite. The breakfasts were delicious and the 24/7 snack and coffee bar was a nice touch. Paul and Teresa were awesome hosts. Highly recommended.

Fantastic stay at The Butterfly House. Greeted by the lovely hosts, there were muffins and cookies for an afternoon snack, we had a beautiful ‘renovated but historic’ room next to a flowering magnolia tree, easy access to a winery downtown for a tasting, and a delicious breakfast in the morning. Highly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful, love all the little details throughout the house. Owners are very attentive. I felt spoiled while visiting. All the rooms are gorgeous. Love the adjustable bed and that each room has its own temperature control. We had the most peaceful sleep. The towels are the softest towels I've ever felt and loved that everything is well stocked from the bathroom to the snack bar. Definitely a must see. Can't wait to visit again.

Stay at The Butterfly House! If you’ve never been to a Bed and Breakfast, come here first to see how it should be done. If you’re a seasoned BnB enthusiast, come here next for the best experience you’ve ever had.The guest rooms are comfortable and well decorated. Breakfast is home-cooked, delectable, and served on a beautifully set table. Best of all, Paul and Teresa are warm, hospitable, and engaging hosts who tend to every need a guest might have.This charming old home has been lovingly restored and is close to everything in old Madison. The Riverwalk, restaurants, coffee shops, and quaint downtown boutiques are all just a short walk away. Plus, if you want to take in some hiking or a bit more nature, Clifty Falls State Park is only a mile down the road. Whatever you choose, after a busy day of fun activities, you can wind down at The Butterfly House with a hot drink and some fresh baked goods.From arrival to departure, here you will feel pampered and refreshed. It just doesn't get any better.

Paul and Teresa are incredible hosts, and the bed and breakfast is absolutely beautiful! You feel like family during your stay, and the breakfasts are truly 5 star! The town of Madison is magical and everyone is very friendly. I would highly recommend a stay at the Butterfly House. It’s my new favorite place!

This is a wonderful bed and breakfast in a great town. Paul and Teresa are exceptional hosts - they are very welcoming and courteous; the place is beautiful and immaculate; breakfast was outstanding; and it would be hard to get a better location, easy walking distance to all the shops and restaurants downtown.

The host and hostess welcomed us to their home and invited us to make it ours, too. The furnishings are lovely, and the accommodations are excellent – abundant fluffy towels, extra pillows and blankets in the room, free bottled water, strong internet, and two porches on which to relax. Snacks, candy, muffins, and cookies are always available. Tasty homemade breakfast is served at 8:30 am with several coffee and tea choices. The Butterfly House Bed & Breakfast is located only 2 or 3 blocks from both the Ohio River and downtown Madison. We highly recommend you give it a try; you won’t go back to staying in a hotel at Madison again.

The Butterfly House is a wonderful change of pace. We stayed in the sunflower room which was cozy and quiet. Each room is beautifully done in detail. Our host was very gracious and attentive. The breakfast of blueberry pancakes and coffee were scrumptious. We will definitely come back. So much to do in walking distance. A great getaway! Thank you Paul and Teresa Walters!

I could not have been more happy with staying at The Butterfly House. The Butterfly room was comfortable, cozy and clean. I enjoyed sitting out on front porch and the veranda in the evening. The river, shops and restaurants where in walking distance. The owners Paul and Teresa where perfect host. Teresa made wonderful breakfast each morning. I fell in love with the B & B. And enjoyed pleasant conversations with them and Teresa's Chocolate Zucchini Bread.....

Wonderful hosts, beautiful home! Clean, comfortable, so tastefully decorated too!! Breakfast was delicious! Close to everything Madison has to offer, but with a location that still feels private. Couldn’t ask for more! We will stay again!

Wonderful Bed and Breakfast in the heart of Madison, Indiana. The home is lovely, as are the suites. Very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding. The owners made us feel at home. I will go back again and again.

A fantastic B & B! Paul and Teresa were great hosts who provided valuable recommendations on the town. The room was spacious and the house was in great shape. Very close to both the river and the downtown area (both a two-three minute walk). Highly recommended!

My wife and I stayed 2 nights for our anniversary. It was wonderful. Paul and Teresa were excellent hosts and hostesses during our stay. Breakfasts were exceptional, the room specious and comfortable. The home itself has a lot of history and is beautifully decorated. Main street is within walking distance, and the town has quit a lot to see and a great deal of history. We plan on going back later in the year to attend some of the towns up and coming events.

My husband and I had an excellent stay at The Butterfly House! The hosts were warm and welcoming, the Sunflower Suite was quaint and cozy, and the breakfast was yummy! This place is also in a great location to walk to all the main restaurants and activities in Madison. Highly recommend!

Paul and Teresa were such gracious and truly hospitable hosts. Their home is beautiful and we were advised to make it our own during our overnight stay. We shall return and tell others about our stay in Madison. Our room and bath area were extremely clean, beautiful and comfortably relaxing. Our breakfast was truly delicious and served to us by our hosts in their lovely, lovely dining room. This is the one to choose in Madison!

We had such a nice time with my kids and parents. Everything is thought out and it is such a treat to wake up to fresh coffee and breakfast! We will be back! Madison is such a sweet place to visit again and again!

My husband took me to the Butterfly House a beautiful historical home for my birthday. We walked to the Ohio river, downtown, with many shops, wineries and restaurants only a couple blocks away. We had a fabulous breakfast, they were able to accommodate my husband’s diet needs. I would recommend the Butterfly House for a memorable, relaxing visit to Madison, IN.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Butterfly House! Paul and Teresa were fantastic hosts and very helpful and accommodating. They thought of everything! There were snacks and drinks available anytime, and the cooler with cold water was much appreciated for all the walking you're bound to do. The rooms were clean, beautiful and very comfortable - we'd love to come back!

The butterfly house is a great option to stay in Madison. We recommend it.With spacious and extremely clean accommodations you can relax and unwind. We stayed in the Wisteria room with the king bed. The bed was very comfortable and had adjustable head and foot. The inverter allowed us to set the temperature to our preference.Breakfasts were served at 8:30 and always a delicious surprise (day 1 was an egg soufflé with hash browns and yogurt & day 2 was French toast with sausage and mixed fruit).We worked from the B&B for one day. We chose to do so on the veranda. It was relaxing! The wifi was sufficient for emails and only froze, briefly, a couple of times in the day when my husband and I were on video conferences at the same time.The location is excellent, between the river and Main Street and just two blocks from the start of shops.For restaurants we recommend Mad Love for dinner, Shipley’s for the best burger, Red Pepperoni for pizza, and the Attic for lunch.For snacks at the B&B there were muffins, fruit, cookies, cookies, bars, etc available any time with water, coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

We just had a wonderful weekend stay at the Butterfly House in Madison Indiana. Paul and Teresa were wonderful host and made us feel at home. Breakfast were very good and rooms were very well kept and decorated very cute!!!! We highly recommend them to anyone headed that way .

The Butterfly House is located in walking distance to unique shopping experiences, restaurants, wineries, shows, all while exploring the beautiful architecture of the well maintained historic city of Madison and meeting the friendly residents. The home itself was like time travel to a slower paced era with its natural charm and period furnishings and decor. Our room with amenities was very comfortable, including our own thermostat. The host and hostess were super nice, down to earth people who put our comfort and enjoyment as their priority. They provided a freshly prepared breakfast feast in a lovely formal dining room.We were fortunate to have the opportunity to enjoy a family Christmas get together here and the atmosphere with all the Christmas adornments did not disappoint.We plan to return.

The Butterfly House is beautifully decorated, and always feels like home. The hosts, Paul and Teresa, are so very kind and were attentive to our every needs. We just can't say enough about how relaxing our experience was. We definitely will return in the future!!

We decided to take a last minute weekend getaway to Madison, and Butterfly house had an opening that met our needs. We arrived to find a gorgeously appointed home with private, comfortable rooms and welcoming hosts. Theresa and Paul made us feel comfortable and at home. The rooms are divided by bathrooms, so there is no risk of hearing other guests. We chose the Magnolia suite for the king size bed, which was adjustable and very comfortable. The location is perfect: far enough away from the tourist district to be quiet and close enough to easily walk everywhere. Breakfast each morning is served at 8:30 and is perfectly delicious and nutritious. Theresa and Paul are also happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions as long as you let them know in advance. They do have 3 adorable, small dogs who will love you as much as you want or leave you alone as much as you want. The experience we had at Butterfly House helped us fall in love with Madison. I can’t wait to go back and stay at Butterfly House again!

We enjoyed our stay at the Butterfly House. We found it captured the essence of historic Madison. Teresa and Paul were gracious and friendly hosts. Our suite was great- comfortable bed, lots of space, and we enjoyed sitting out on the porch one night- lots of amenities, including tasty breakfasts. They had ample information about things to do in Madison. We really enjoyed our stay at the Butterfly House and our visit to Madison.

We had an amazing stay at the Butterfly House. The home and rooms are wonderful as is the breakfast and snacks. You definitely feel at home staying there. It was such a special weekend for us. We got engaged and it was great to share in that excitement with Theresa and Paul. I would highly recommend staying at the Butterfly House.

I would definitely recommended the Butterfly House for your stay in Madison. My wife and I stayed a few days while visiting my family and our new grand baby. This was our first BNB experience and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Both Paul and Teresa were wonderful hosts. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were spacious and inviting. We would love to stay again should our travels bring us back to Madison!
